One of the biggest industries for young people in China is selling items on live streams.

For some Chinese teens, this is an appealing prospect. Why spend your day behind a desk when you can spend your time on camera? And if you earn a lot of money in the process, even better!

That said, most people in this industry *don’t* end up earning a lot of money. In fact, these people sometimes become so desperate to earn a few bucks that they end up performing their live streams on the street, setting up shop in popular areas in order to draw more attention to the crappy items they’re selling.

Those who are successful in this regard, however, can earn the big bucks. This woman is named Zheng Xiang Xiang, and she’s earned a significant amount of money by selling items with her strategy of clearly abhorring every single piece she holds. In fact, she only holds each item for a few seconds before tossing it aside — and somehow, this actually gets people to buy it.

Some reports say that she earns as much as $14 million per week doing this, though there are plenty of reasons to be skeptical of this figure. Still, we know that she earns quite a lot, as she was so successful that Douyin, the platform on which she sells, had to institute a new rule where you have to actually talk about the item you’re selling before you do so.
