Meet Parking Lot King: a Boston-based TikTok account that describes itself as a “multimedia global production company” but which focuses almost entirely on posting videos of the same parking lot. According to the account owner, he’s fascinated by this parking lot because “there’s something about it, at the very root, a sickness, some might call it… it’s festering, and it makes you into a bad driver.”

Apparently, it makes you into a bad pedestrian too, as one unfortunate rollerblader recently learned.

In the video, the camera follows the rollerblader, who we can see carrying a tray of coffees, as he heads toward the lot in question. As he reaches it, he trips on the curb and falls flat on his face, spilling the coffee everywhere and proving the Parking Lot King’s theory about the insidious nature of this parking lot.

Some viewers were skeptical about the video, though — the fall seemed too perfect, along with the fact that the Parking Lot King happened to be recording at that very moment. One popular comment by ghostpoopies reads, “This looks so planned,” while someone else notes, “He literally throws the coffees down before he even falls.” (In fairness, he didn’t; the coffees fall out of his arms after he hit the curb and begun his descent.)

Meanwhile, others have argued that the video is real because nobody would waste that much coffee (some estimated that as much as $80 worth of coffee was lost in the fall). One commenter wondered if the rollerblader knew about Parking Lot King’s account and “put on a show.” A few others questioned how deep the conspiracy goes — i.e., has the entire account been building to this moment?

For his part, Parking Lot King has hit back at everyone accusing him of staging the video, and is still attempting to track down the rollerblader. He also posted the full two-minute video of the rollerblader, featuring his commentary of general parking lot shenanigans, which does make it look more authentic. The saddest part is definitely the way the rollerblader tries in vain to clean up the mess as Parking Lot King looks on, laughing his ass off.

Here’s hoping his day improved after that, and that he never discovers he’s mildly famous on an incredibly niche corner of the internet.
