Remember the woman who dragged her husband along on a date while she was dressed as Handsome Squidward? She’s back with more shenanigans, this time “stress testing” expensive shoes in a store by doing handstands and cartwheels while her husband looks on in mild horror.
Kristy Scott, who obviously has a flair for the dramatic, uploaded a video of her and her husband visiting a Saint Laurent store where she felt compelled to put a pair of Anja pumps in rhinestone mesh worth $1,150 through the paces by sprinting in place, stomping her feet and performing handstands and cartwheels. Eventually, her husband Desmond had too much, and walked away.
Kristy’s fans obviously like this sort of content — the most liked comment on her Instagram post reads, “ he said this behavior was ok for Target but not YSL ,” while the top comment on her TikTok says, “Social anxiety is afraid of Kristy .”
My heart goes out to the sales assistant in this situation — torn between making a sale or becoming the subject of a negative TikTok for asking someone not to do cartwheels in your store. While Saint Laurent is seemingly fine with it, at least one luxury brand might not be: LOEWE shared one of Kristy’s stress-testing videos to their own TikTok account with the caption, “Please don’t try this in our stores.”

Not everyone online was so forgiving about it either. Over on r/TikTokCringe, the top comment about Kristy’s video reads, “Yeah, I can’t stand this couple. Actually, I hate all social media couples. It’s hard to believe you’re this happy/quirky, it seems like you’re trying to convince me.”
Another commenter explained why Kristy continues to churn out this attention-grabbing content, writing, “The thing people often forget is when people go viral you literally have to keep producing content mostly in the same niche/genre, that’s how social media works and that’s how she has 14M followers, because they know how to follow an algorithm.”
Indeed, TikTok forces everyone to find their niche and stick to it — Kristy’s niche appears to be slightly embarrassing stunts done in public. I’d say you should try to walk a mile in her shoes before you judge her, but I’m not sure you’d be able to pull off all the cartwheels and handstands.
