Avalanches are deceptively quick. An avalanche can quickly reach speeds of up to 100 mph, and while you might think you’re out of the path of an avalanche, chances are high that, if you can see it and you’re downhill from it, it’s probably heading your direction pretty soon.

And yet, many people fail to realize that, only coming to their senses when the cloud is close enough to envelop them. Case in point, this video:
