Every once in a while, a hero emerges.

If you’ve ever been shopping for a mattress and thought, “That sounds too expensive,” well, you were probably right. As it turns out, apart from lower, budget mattresses, mattress manufacturers make pretty hefty margins on their mattresses, and if you’re really interested in the ideal sleeping experience for a good price, you might want to consider making your own.

That’s what YouTuber Unapologetic Geek did — and it apparently drove him insane.

In a nearly two-hour video posted — unmonetized — to his YouTube channel, the man lays out how you can easily and effectively create their own mattress, including what materials you can use and why he recommends the items that he does. Not only that, but he also casually exposes one of the bigger mattress reviewers, Mattress Underground, for allegedly being corrupt. He’s not framing it as an exposé, however — he just really wants you to have the right mattress!
