You’re not just going to, I don’t know, grab one of the nearby fire extinguishers?

Every school has a variety of safety-training protocols that they put teachers and students through in order to ensure they’ll know how to react in the face of an emergency. For older people, this was usually limited to just fire and tornado drills; younger readers are probably more familiar with the whole “There’s a guy in the school with a gun, everybody hide” drill. Oh, how times have changed!

But when push comes to shove, no one knows how they’ll *really* react in an emergency situation. In this case, the reaction involved a lot of screaming, running around and, crucially, not putting out the fire.
