Humans are obsessed with the idea of seeing the world through our beloved pet’s eyes, and with technological advancements like the GoPro allowing us to do just that, we now have more information than ever about what our pets do when we’re not looking.

Cats, for example, explore widely, only getting into the occasional scrap with a rival neighborhood cat. Dogs, on the other hand, seem focused on sniffing each other’s butts. At least, Junebug the chihuahua mix does, and her mother is kind enough to upload the evidence of Junebug’s fixation to Instagram for the entire world to see.

I cannot overstate just how many videos there are of Junebug sniffing other dog’s butts at the park on her Instagram account; they’re seemingly never ending, and we get multiple angles, thanks to videos taken by Junebug’s mom as well as by Junebug herself on the GoPro attached to her. This is peak cinematography, people.

Naturally, the people love Junebug’s work, with one person joking that she was, “Getting some content for their OnlyPaws account,” while another was quick to defend her, arguing, “(S)he is only bootyhole height.”

Primarily, the people want to know when they can expect Junebug’s directorial debut, with commenters calling her the next big film director and complimenting her camerawork.

Junebug wouldn’t be the first dog with directorial ambitions — the 2020 documentary Stray was filmed through the eyes of three stay dogs on the streets of Turkey, although it’s unclear how much of that film was devoted to the noble pursuit of sniffing butts.
