Masters of technology lounge in neon skyscrapers, towering high above the slums where peasants toil at the computer just to make enough digital money to feed their families. 

This may once have been the premise for a dystopian sci-fi movie, but thanks to advances in modern society, it’s now just a typical day.

We may be living miserably in a dystopian future ruled by cyber overlords, but there are some upsides to living in Blade Runner: We get to enjoy pictures of beautiful neon cities. It doesn’t quite make up for a lifetime of technological oppression but it will have to do for now.
