The Yamuna River in India is a gigantic, essential water source that gives Delhi ninety-seven percent of its water supply. So, it’s pretty important that this river is kept clean and usable but because humans are humans and the world is the world, the river is filled with toxic foam.
The foam comes from industrial waste and chemical dumps, and it genuinely looks pretty cool. But it’s still toxic. Nevertheless, people still need to use it. The result is a bunch of people washing their clothes, bathing, sailing, and just having a grand ol’ splashy time in radioactive, stark white foam.
It’s strange, kind of beautiful, and a fun little wholesome reminder that the Earth is dying but we can still have fun with it!
