Why are you paying to spend money in a bar anyway?

Cover charges are as annoying as they are confusing. I’m here to buy things — why the hell do I have to pay to do that?

Thankfully, there are some ways to avoid paying cover charges. First, be hot. Second, convince the bouncer that you’re friends with the DJ. Or, if you’re willing to get a little athletic, you can do what this guy did and simply climb your way in.

Sure, there’s a risk of injury, but that’s 15 more dollars that you can spend on beer!
