Online Footwear Experts Help Man Try to Solve the Mystery of Who Slashed His Tires

A subreddit dedicated to sturdy footwear is probably one of the last places you’d think to turn to when trying to track down a criminal, but we live in a strange new world where adding “Reddit” to any google query is the only way to get decent results anymore. So why not use it for crime-solving, too?

Speaking of which, someone took to the r/Boots subreddit earlier this month to ask for help identifying the boots worn by someone who slashed their tires based on the impression left behind in the snow. Amazingly, someone was quickly able to identify them as Twisted X Driving Mocs.

It’s not entirely clear what OP is going to do with the information. One commenter asked if they had any enemies, to which they responded that it “could be an old roommate, things got pretty toxic before they moved out or an exes new bf.” So I guess they now just need to cross-check their social media profiles to see if they wear ugly shoes or not. After all, as one commenter pointed out, “My guy got his s—t slashed by a dork. That’s tough.”

A tweeter commented that “this is what should be happening on True Detective: Night Country,” while someone else joked about, “Wearing my woven tongue boots to commit crimes.”

Unfortunately, OP hasn’t returned to post an update about whether or not they’ve found the culprit and/or confronted them and/or had them arrested and/or slashed their tires in return — or better yet, found and destroyed their hideously ugly driving moccasins.
