Big cities are great — if you like having your phone taken right out of your hands.

Across the world, there’s been a growing problem of phone-snatching. People will run or bike by, nab the phone from your hands, then continue on, leaving you phoneless and without the ability to mindlessly scroll through TikTok. The horror!

Some cities are worse about this than others. For example, Italy’s pickpockets are notorious, and in London, the theft of phones has become so commonplace that most people holding their smartphone in public only do so with a death grip.
