How old were you when you learned that you could exchange money for goods and services? For most people, the answer is “pretty young.” Once you saw your mom or dad pay a few bucks for a hot dog, you realized that there was a reason you don’t see people jumping over the counter at Starbucks and making themselves custom Frappuccinos.

Earning money, however, might be a different story. Discovering that money didn’t just fall from the sky and that you actually needed to work for it was a major letdown that some people still haven’t gotten over.
