The hair — my God, the hair!

The 1980s were very, very strange. People were rocking big hair and tight clothes, everyone was listening to music on their Walkmans, and the government was in the process of implementing some of the most disastrous economic policies of all time. What a time!

It was also one of the last periods of a true monoculture. With the rise of the internet in the ‘90s and early aughts, it’s become difficult to point to an exact style or look and say “that’s so 2002.”

This is clearly not the case with the ‘80s, as is evident from this bedroom that’s remained untouched since the time period. Take a look, and thank your lucky stars that you can’t get glitter on you through the screen.
